Pay For Your Massage with Your HSA or FSA

How It Works

If You Have an HSA or FSA You Could be Saving on Your Massages:

Save money on massage and sauna sessions by using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for your service. In order to use your FSA or HSA for massage  or sauna sessions several steps need to be taken:

1. Make Sure You are Covered

Check with your FSA/HSA to make sure that you will be covered for massage.  Some institutions may require a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor.

2. Letter of Medical Necessity

If you have an underlying medical condition that can be treated with massage (carpal tunnel, back pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, pain management, ect. )  obtain a script from your doctor that includes why massage is needed, the frequency, and the length of the massage.   This letter of medical necessity will most likely need to be saved in order to present for your HSA/FSA  reimbursement.

3.  Payment

Pay with your Flex Card if you have one, or pay as you normally would and submit the receipt for reimbursement from your HSA/FSA.  This will be up to individuals to get reimbursed, Tranquility Wellspa is not responsible for declined claims.

4. Receive Massage

It's that easy!
